10 things to do every day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Contents

Check Your Mail

Whether it is a gift from Gulliver or a painting from Redd you should always check your mail, especially on your birthday, because someone somewhere might just send you something special. Happy Birthday! See our article about Time Travel in Animal Crossing.

Check Nooks Cranny and the Able Sisters

So why would I want to do this I hear you ask. Well in some months of the year the Nooks Cranny sells pumpkin starts and other items related to the current season. While the Able Sisters have clothing, hats and shoes related to the season. Top tip, if you talk to Sable, she will eventually give you a custom design.

Talk to Villagers

If you talk to your villagers each day you should get the chance to give them a gift. It is usually a good idea to give them a gift, that is, unless you don’t like your villagers and you don’t want to give them any of your precious stuff.

Find Your Crafting Villager

Each day at least 1 villager will be crafting. This is great if you love to craft, so make sure to talk to them and ask them what they are doing – they will give you the handwritten recipe. If you want more recipes you can find a message in a bottle and you will get another recipe. Head to your beach to grab the message in a bottle.

Dig Golden Glowing Spots and Find the Money Rock

If your wondering how to make a little profit every day, here are 2 ways. To find the Money Rock start by finding a rock on your island, then dig 2 holes behind it and then if you are lucky you can find the money rock! Glowing spots on the ground means money so dig it up and you will have a little bit more bells.

Check the Nook Stop

Why would I want to check the Nook stop? Well first of all you get Nook Miles which you can redeem at the Nook Stop for items – see below. Secondly, and you can check what they are selling. Check what KK Slider song they are selling and browse around the furniture if you are in the mood.

Nook Miles

If you love to use Nook Miles tickets you should always remember to do your daily Nook miles. To do this go on your Nook phone, select Nook Miles, press plus and then check.

Get Resources

When you first start the game, you will be desperate for materials, later you might not need as many if you have been working hard to get them before.

Check the Recycle Bin

Even though it might only have cardboard boxes the recycle bin is still worth checking, this is especially true if you are trying to craft a robot hero which requires special rusted parts which can only be found in the recycle bin.

Use Amiibo Cards or Check Your Campsite

Why campsite? Well if you’re lucky you could get an amazing villager (and no I am not talking about Barold).
